If you create an account, your submitted data is stored on the website database and, depending on your preferences, may be transmitted to/from 3rd party sites, but only for presentation of related services, such as billing, documentation, integrations and so on. In other words - we don't share your data unless necessary.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We like to understand who our visitors are and how they interact with our site. To that end we may use various types of tracking, including analytics data (Google, etc), Facebook tracking pixel, heat maps, session recording and other methods of collecting visitor data. We use this data to ensure we are providing valuable services and content to our visitors, that our site is working as expected and to understand areas for improvement. All data collected is anonymized.

Who we share your data with

We will only share your data when necessary to provide a service or obtain information we are unable to gain without sharing information. Some anonymized or personally identifiable data may be collected by, transmitted to or received from 3rd parties to provide a useful service (analytics, UI/UX, invoicing, etc). We may also share data with authorities, but only under directive of a warrant or similarly vetted obligatory information demand.

If you sign up for our newsletter, we will share your data with our email service (Mailchimp, etc) which includes user specific interaction data, cookies and other personally identifiable information.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Any other collected data can have various retention rates depending on the data - analytics data, for example, may be retained for years, though it is typically anonymous. Mailchimp (or other opt-in services) will retain data indefinitely, or until you specifically request removal.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. If you have subscribed to our newsletter, you may also request to unsubscribe or have all your personal data removed.

Please note that we are unable to remove anonymized analytics or interaction data as anonymized data cannot be personally identified.

Data Removal Request

If you have submitted data directly to our site, via a form or account creation, poll or other identifiable form, you may request removal of that data at any time by selecting the option in our contact form. Any  directly identifiable data shared with 3rd parties will also be removed upon your request. Anonymized data cannot be removed, as there is no method for personal identification.

We have reasonable detection and security measures in place to help identify a breach as quickly as possible. In a nutshell - we take security seriously and will do everything on our power to prevent it. Should something occur, we will take every reasonable measure to minimize the damage and will contact anyone that may have been affected by the breach.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
